This might be one of the more Jalop videos in existence. Doughnuts! Shelby doughnuts in the dirt! Car on stilts! It's a MANUAL.

There's vintage everything in this video, complete with Jim not getting the crap beaten out of him for smoking next to a gas pump. Ah, at least the cars are cool.

Also, you know you've got a pet peeve when you see him go to shift and think "ARRRGH LONG THROW SHIFTERS ARE MY NEMESIS." Seriously, they are.

But hooray—manual transmission shifting cut-away shots are much more visually compelling than a cut-away of a dude pulling a shifter paddle. If you're filming in-car anything, always get the manual. Always.

It's this car actually. My father and I were the ones who restored it (minus the paint work.)

If you ever get the chance, look up the story on it. It was the only car Morrison ever bought, named the Blue Lady, and was lost for about 30+ years. It drives just amazingly. Any questions feel free to ask.

No way. This would have been BIG news in the Cobra world (my father has a 67 GT500 as well and would have at least heard about it). Every reliable story out there says it was totaled, massive frame damage, undercarriage busted up from running over curbs and trees, just beat to hell.

Has it been verified by Shelby American? The VIN hasn't been registered since 1969.

Also, just because my OCD kicked in, he never bought the Shelby, it was a gift to him from the record label.
